Orchestrating Headshots for Your Company: Easier Than You Think

Everyone wants updated headshots. Some actually need them as part of their profession. Do you realize this makes your organization look great too? We do. And we want to make sure the process is smooth and easy for you to organize.

I want to mention that my background is in a corporate environment, and I have always been an advocate for creating an atmosphere of happy employees. It is so crucial to make them feel that you want them to be successful, whether it is with your company or the next step in their career. Giving them such a powerful networking tool like a portrait or headshot, will bring lasting benefits to you and them.

Step 1: Plan Ahead

Begin by scheduling a day or series of days dedicated to headshots. Choose a time that minimizes disruption to daily operations, such as during lunch breaks or a quieter period. Perhaps conferring with department heads to make sure participation is maximized. Make sure to communicate the schedule well in advance so everyone can prepare.

Step 2: Set Up a Suitable Space

Set up a designated area in your office for the photoshoot. Ensure it’s a large, quiet space where employees can feel relaxed. The lighting doesn’t even have to be that great. We will supply the lighting and the background, unless you have something in mind.

Step 3: Prepare Your Team

Encourage your employees to dress in professional attire that represents your company’s image. Here are some guidelines on what to wear and how to groom, so everyone feels confident and looks their best. Remind them to bring any accessories that complement their professional look, like a spare blazer, scarf or second pair of glasses.

Step 4: Make It Enjoyable

You can help create a positive atmosphere during the photoshoot. Play some soft music, offer refreshments, and keep the mood light. A relaxed environment helps people feel at ease, resulting in more natural and appealing headshots. Depending on the project, we will spend about 10-15 minutes with each individual, making the photograph experience empowering and with the employee feeling confident and comfortable.

Step 5: Review and Select Photos

Once the photoshoot is complete, we will review and select the best images with each individual, ensuring that each employee has the opportunity to choose their preferred shots. This inclusivity boosts satisfaction and ensures everyone is happy with their headshots. We will also do same day retakes at no charge!

Step 6: Utilize the Headshots

Update your company’s website, LinkedIn profiles, and other professional platforms with the new headshots. Incorporate press releases with your employee’s accomplishments. Look for opportunities to promote your company with professional photos. High-quality, consistent images present a polished and cohesive brand to clients, partners, and potential hires.

Step 7: Keep It Up-to-Date

Remember, headshots should be refreshed periodically to keep up with changes in appearance and branding. Make it a regular practice, perhaps annually, to update everyone’s headshots, ensuring that your team always looks professional and current. We can work together for better pricing for annual sessions with your company.

By following these steps, orchestrating headshots for your company can be a seamless and rewarding process. It not only enhances your corporate image but also fosters a sense of pride and belonging among your employees.
